At Extreme Kartz, we carry lithium golf cart batteries in 36V, 48V, and 72V configurations, with capacity options ranging from 50Ah to 170Ah depending on the brand and bundle. Whether you need a compact everyday setup, a higher-capacity neighborhood cruiser, or a performance-focused battery system for accessories and upgraded controllers, lithium gives your cart a lighter, cleaner, and more efficient power source than traditional lead-acid batteries.
We stock trusted lithium battery brands including Eco Battery, Bolt Energy USA, Lithium Rhino, and Bedrock Battery, with options for many of the most popular golf cart platforms from Club Car, EZGO, Yamaha, and other major cart brands. Even if you do not see a ready-made lithium bundle listed for your exact cart, our team can often help guide you to the right battery and conversion setup based on your voltage, available space, performance goals, and application.
Shop by cart, voltage and brand. Each lithium kit here replaces your whole lead-acid pack with a lithium pack (usually one battery) at the voltage your cart already runs. Use the Make and Model filters on this page to narrow kits for your Club Car, EZGO or Yamaha, then compare brands side by side below.
We bring years of hands-on experience helping golf cart owners choose the right system for their cart, driving style, and upgrade goals. We help customers compare fitment, installation complexity, range expectations, and compatibility so they can make the right call the first time.
Every lithium brand we carry includes a minimum 5-year full-replacement warranty, with select systems offering even longer overall coverage. That gives you more confidence when upgrading from lead-acid to a modern lithium battery solution built for long-term golf cart use.
Shop Lithium Golf Cart Batteries by Voltage
Not sure of your voltage? Count your batteries and multiply by the voltage printed on each one.
| Voltage | How to tell / typical use | Shop |
|---|---|---|
| 36V | Your cart runs six 6V batteries. | Shop 36V lithium batteries |
| 48V | Your cart runs six 8V or four 12V batteries. | Shop 48V lithium batteries |
| 72V | Carts built for 72V. Converting a 36V or 48V cart also needs a 72V controller, solenoid and charger, and usually a new motor. | Shop 72V lithium batteries |

Four brands, listed alphabetically. The right pick usually comes down to your cart's tray, the capacity you need and your budget. To pick a value tier, our Good, Better, Best guide ranks top kits by passengers, driving needs and budget, with picks from 60 to 65Ah up to 150Ah and more.
| Brand | Voltages we carry | Capacity range we carry | Shop |
|---|---|---|---|
| Bedrock Battery | 36V, 48V, 72V | 65Ah to 150Ah | Shop Bedrock |
| Bolt Energy | 36V, 48V, 72V | 60Ah to 168Ah | Shop Bolt |
| Eco Battery | 36V, 48V, 51V, 70V | 60Ah to 165Ah | Shop Eco Battery |
| Lithium Rhino | 36V, 48V, 76V | 50Ah to 170Ah | Shop Lithium Rhino |
Eco 51V packs are made for 48V carts; Eco 70V and Lithium Rhino 76V packs are for 72V-class carts, so confirm your controller accepts the pack. Warranty terms differ by brand, so check each product page for specs, kit contents and full warranty details.
How to Choose the Right Lithium Battery for Your Golf Cart
The best lithium battery for your golf cart depends on your cart’s voltage, battery tray space, passenger load, terrain, accessory usage, and whether you plan to add performance upgrades. Smaller capacity batteries like 60Ah options can work well for lighter-duty driving, while 105Ah, 160Ah, and larger systems are better suited for longer range, lifted carts, higher passenger loads, and carts running upgraded controllers, motors, or street-legal accessories.

Why Golf Cart Owners Upgrade to Lithium
Compared to lead-acid batteries, lithium golf cart batteries offer a major improvement in everyday drivability and ownership experience. Less weight helps your cart accelerate better and climb hills more efficiently. Faster charging means less downtime. Consistent voltage delivery helps your cart feel stronger throughout the drive instead of fading as the battery drains. For many owners, converting to lithium is the upgrade that makes the biggest overall difference in how their golf cart performs.

FAQs for Lithium Golf Cart Batteries
Which lithium conversion kit fits my golf cart?+
Match three things before you order: your cart's voltage, its make and model, and the room in its battery tray. Your voltage is the number of batteries times the voltage printed on each one: six 6V batteries is 36V, and six 8V or four 12V batteries is 48V. Then use the Make and Model filters on this page to narrow the kits. Some carts keep the controller inside the battery compartment, so send us a photo of your battery bay and we'll help confirm fit.
How many amp hours do I need in a lithium golf cart battery?+
Amp hours (Ah) measure the battery's capacity, so a higher Ah rating means more range on one charge at the same voltage. Choose the size by how you drive: more passengers, hills, a lift kit and heavy accessories all draw more power, so they call for more amp hours than light neighborhood trips.
Do I need a 12V converter with a lithium golf cart battery?+
Only if you run 12V accessories. Lights, a stereo or USB ports that were tapped off one of your old lead-acid batteries need a 12V converter (also called a voltage reducer), because a lithium pack has no 12V tap in the middle of the string. If you have no 12V accessories, you don't need one.
Do lithium golf cart batteries work in cold weather?+
Yes, they drive in the cold, with some limits. Cold weather can reduce usable capacity, and range can fall roughly 15 to 20% at 32°F before returning as it warms. On most lithium packs, the battery management system (BMS) stops charging below freezing to protect the cells. That's normal, not a defect. If your cart is stored somewhere unheated, charge it when temperatures are above freezing. If you need to charge below 32°F, choose a heated lithium battery.
Can I install a lithium conversion kit myself?+
Yes, if you're comfortable with hands-on electrical work and you're staying at the same voltage. A same-voltage drop-in is an intermediate DIY job. Disconnect the main battery first and use insulated tools, then remove the old batteries (lead-acid is heavy, so bring a helper), clean the tray, secure the lithium pack in the tray, connect the main cables and confirm the battery powers up. Follow your kit's installation instructions for the details. Changing voltage is a bigger job, and our team can help if you get stuck.
