FAQs for EZGO Seating

Which EZGO model do I have, and why does it matter for seats?+

EZGO's main platforms are the TXT (1995-plus, solid rear axle), the RXV (2008-plus, independent rear suspension), and the older Marathon (1976–1994) and Medalist (1994–1995). It matters because seats and seat brackets are cut and mounted to a specific model — a TXT seat won't bolt to an RXV. Confirm your model from the serial and model on the driver-side frame data plate before ordering.

Will an EZGO TXT seat cover fit my RXV?+

Usually not — the RXV's mounting and seat shape differ from the TXT, so covers and cushions are model-specific between them. Fit can also vary by sub-year within a model, so don't go by make alone. Match your exact EZGO model and year against the listing's fitment before you buy.

What's the difference between recovering my EZGO seat and replacing it?+

If your foam is still solid and only the vinyl is worn, an EZGO-cut seat cover is the quick, budget refresh that goes right over the existing cushion. If the foam is broken down or you want a new look, a full replacement bottom-and-back assembly for your TXT, RXV, or Marathon/Medalist is the way to go. Either way, match the part to your specific EZGO model.

Do EZGO replacement seats come with brackets and hardware?+

Not always — many aftermarket EZGO seats reuse your existing brackets, and if yours don't line up an adapter may be needed. RXV mounting hardware in particular differs from the TXT, so don't assume parts cross over. If you're unsure whether your brackets will transfer, call 678-331-7404 before ordering.

Can I get premium or two-tone seats for my EZGO?+

Yes — beyond factory-style replacements, we carry premium and two-tone EZGO covers and cushions in marine-grade vinyl that resists UV and outdoor wear. They change the look and feel but still have to match your cart's mounting, so pick the style patterned for your TXT, RXV, or Marathon/Medalist. Confirm the fitment on the listing before you order.
